Clean, wonderful hotel, nicely decorated rooms and INCREDIBLY ATTENTIVE staff. Beautiful building and rooms with matterhorn view. Excellent location in the restaurant after a hard day, good for visiting Zermatt. Based near to Zermatt train station, Gornergrat train station, the tunnel and elevator, and the mountain. Generally the service was great. Late check out.

The breakfast was delicious and very very good and had plenty of meals. The room was great-sized, beautifully decorated and included an awesome balcony and an extra easy chair. The location of the property was stunning, conveniently close to ski lifts. Went to L'atelier Grandsire for drink or two, set not very far from the hotel.

Nicely decorated & big size unit with a view of the Matterhorn and really smart bathrooms, as example. Impeccable service throughout. Late check out. Location right by Zermatt train station, Gornergrat train station and the ski lift and all the restaurants and shops.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, with a stunning view of the Matterhorn from our room, the dining area, and the patio. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and the Zermatt-Sunnega funicular station, making it easy to explore the area and access other restaurants within walking distance. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. The breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a wide variety of options including meats, cheeses, eggs, and fresh fruit. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

It was very convenient to walk to Matterhorn Express in just 15 minutes from here, and the hotel was conveniently located next to the train station where the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure everything met our needs.

The view of sunsets from here was absolutely perfect, and it was conveniently located just a five-minute walk away from the bus station, making it easy to get around. It was also within walking distance to some of my favorite tourist spots, like Stellisee.

Communication at the reception didn't always work right away. But it was always good! The spa area is not quite ideal with the swimming pool on the other side of the street.

Exceptional location: on the top of the hill with a tunnel lift, close to the city centre, close to the Sunegga Railway, great breakfast buffet and very friendly staff.

We loved how this place is situated on a hill, providing stunning views of the mountains behind. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed. The spa facilities were beautiful and relaxing, and we enjoyed spending time in the hot tubs with views of the mountains. The breakfast selection was delicious and had a wide variety of options. we highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Schonegg Swiss Quality Chalet Hotel is as close to a luxury hotel, at this price, as is possible. The beautiful buffet breakfasts and dinners were boutique gourmet experiences, and there is a chef around in the kitchen all day, so I was able to sit outside on the patio and enjoy midday snacks. There was also a small indoor sitting area available throughout the day. This hotel is close to the village where there are sights and shopping, and more restaurants. Walking around I never had the sense of wanting to see a different hotel, nor did I wish I had booked somewhere else, I went up the gondolas to walk around at the top of the mountain, but my favorite activity was walking the Eidelweis Trail!
